There are some exciting changes coming to Duolingo for Schools! Please bear with us as we make changes to our Help Center to best reflect user experience. In the meantime, click here for articles specifically written with the new home screen in mind. Don’t feel like your question has been addressed? Use these steps to get in touch with our team!
Once you’ve created your classroom, you can add students a few ways:
Add students by sharing the classroom link
With this option, you will provide your students with a link that takes them to Duolingo to login to an existing account or create a new one.
Import students using Google Classroom
With our Google Classroom integration, you can add your Google Classroom roster to your Duolingo for Schools account, and it will continue to sync with any adjustments you make throughout the year! For more detailed instructions on this process, read this article.
Add students by sending them your class code
Looking for a more efficient way to share the link? Ask your students to visit duolingo.com/classroom and enter your class access code in order to become a member of your class.
Add students by creating accounts for them
To use this option, select the “add directly” tab. From there, simply follow the instructions in the gray box to add your students’ information.
Start adding your students’ names. If they have email addresses, enter a comma after each name and add their emails. If they do not have email addresses, check out this article! When you are done adding names, press "Next." From there, you will be brought to a review screen to make any needed edits or adjustments. This screen will also let you know if some of your students already have a Duolingo account. We’ll send these students an email invitation to have them join your class.
Once you have verified all of the information, you can download the login information for your students to set up their accounts and you're all set! Additionally, an email will be sent containing a roster of student usernames and passwords for your reference. Once your students log in, they will be able to change their usernames, emails, and passwords at any time in their settings. Let's start learning!
