After each Unit, learners are given a Checkpoint Quiz to test their proficiency in the Skill they’ve just worked on. This quiz must be taken in order to unlock the next portion of the course on Duolingo.
Although teachers do not currently have access to individual student responses, knowing whether or not the Checkpoint has been completed successfully will allow teachers to know more details about the specific content that a student has been working on.
We know that when it comes to quality teaching, more data is better! The Duolingo for Schools team is currently working on solutions to get teachers increased access to student-level data. You can keep up to speed with the latest Duolingo for Schools features in the News and Updates section of our Help Center!
