If you are new to Duolingo for Schools, you will be invited to create your first class during the registration process.
If you already have a Duolingo for Schools account, and are looking to add an additional classroom to your roster, you will select “New Class” from the menu on the left side of your teacher dashboard.
Whether you’re setting up your first classroom or your fiftieth, you’ll be directed to the classroom creation screen. Here, you’ll select the button that reads “Google Classroom.”
From there, you’ll be directed to verify your Google account credentials, give permissions for Duolingo to access the information in your Google Classroom, and select the roster of students that you want included in your Duolingo for Schools classroom.
Once you select the classes you want students added to, click “Next.” You may need to wait a moment during the import process, but will then be directed to a screen asking you to confirm your classroom details.
Once your details have been confirmed, the process is complete! You can begin creating assignments and helping your students engage in high-quality language learning experiences!
Worried about what happens when you add new students to your Google Classroom? No need to! Your Duolingo for Schools dashboard will automatically sync with your Google Classroom roster.
