A little friendly competition never hurt anything, and that’s no exception in the classroom! One way that Duolingo for Schools has added a competitive flair to our platform is through the introduction of classroom Leaderboards.
With classroom Leaderboards, your students will be ranked weekly based on the number of XP, or experience points, that they’ve earned in the language your classroom is set to. You can even choose which day of the week you want the competition to begin!
Don’t feel like a Leaderboard is the right fit for your unique classroom culture? That’s okay! You can disable classroom Leaderboards in your privacy settings. Simply toggle the button to the left of “Classroom Leaderboards” to the off position, and they will no longer be displayed in your classroom.
