XP, or experience points, are one of the game-like features that we use in our course. These features are included to promote student engagement and keep the language learning going long after the initial interest has passed.
Students can earn XP for doing any activities in the course. These activities include completing a new lesson, reading a story, or just engaging in practice.
Since students earn points for doing activities, XP is a great measure of how much students are engaging with the course but does not serve as a measure of user accuracy.
For additional information on how to use XP, and additional tools, to further your students’ engagement, read this blog post.
